Why wont my N64 games work?

well, actually, it's just one: Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time. All my N64 games were in the basement, in a plastic bag, on the floor. But the basement flooded, several times, acually. After salvaging the bag that has seen better days, I think OoT and a Mario game was on the floor. After getting out my N64, I tried the games: All work, except for OoT, which shows a few bars, trying to get a picture. Also, its a little bit heavier than most of the games, and its the only one that doesnt work!!!!!!!! I really want to play on that game again, on its original system, because its like the first game I ever beaten. I do have the GC version of the game, though.........
