How do shaolin monks get muscles??:(?details inside)?

Think about it this way. Shaolin monks daily workouts consist of training 8-9 hours a day for 6 days a week with sunday being there resting day. The over average american martial arts may train for 3-4 days a week and for around 2-3 hours IF THAT. Even if the americans protein intake is around 6x higher then the shaolin monks. The monks have much better and probably nearly perfect technique since there not spending so much time in the weight room(They don't use weights). So with perfect technique they will be even faster and show more definition in the body parts even if it doesn't look like a lot of muscle.
